DeepThroat v0.11.3
A darker, clearer workspace
- Soft near-black surfaces across the desktop, matching the website.
- Spectrum UI assistant blocks with dots loading, elapsed time and expandable tool details.
- Clear states for thinking, writing, tool activity, completion, errors and cancellation.
- Keyboard-accessible controls and reduced-motion support.
- DeepThroat CLI remains included; existing installations and API keys are preserved.
DeepThroat v0.11.1
DeepThroat Desktop now includes CLI v0.1.7 by default.
- Continue with your DeepThroat website account and existing keys.
- Full DeepThroat ASCII branding in the terminal.
- Hosted web search works without another search API key.
- Standalone CLI installations stay preferred during desktop upgrades and survive desktop uninstall.
- Recognized legacy Python launchers are backed up and repaired.
- Fresh installs, opt-out, Desktop 0.10.0 upgrades, standalone precedence, fallback and uninstall are verified on Windows.
NSIS: use /NOCLI to skip the CLI or /CLI to enable it. MSI: use ADDLOCAL=ALL REMOVE=deepthroatcli to install Desktop without the CLI. Open a new terminal after installation.
DeepThroat v0.10.0
Agent teams and reusable skills
- Built-in Build and enforced read-only Plan agents.
- Custom agent models, reasoning effort, instructions, and roles.
- Assign up to four parallel tasks with separate contexts, or delegate from the main task.
- Live progress cards, tool transcripts, reports, and individual/team cancellation.
- Exclusive builder scopes, overlap/traversal protection, and coordinated project requests.
- Delegated edits in the Changes inspector and final verification by the main Build agent.
- Personal/project SKILL.md workflows, resources, explicit $skill invocation, and enable/disable controls.
- Agent and skill settings persist locally. Parallel agents use additional API tokens.
Child agents cannot run commands or external integrations. Scoped coordination is not an OS sandbox or isolated Git worktree.
DeepThroat v0.9.0
Deep mode: 28 execution and workflow upgrades
- A visible task checklist follows the agent's actual plan updates.
- Plan steps support pending, in-progress, and completed states with a progress bar.
- The inspector shows model turns, tool actions, errors, and context size.
- Settings now include a dedicated Deep mode section with saved limits and reset controls.
- Model-turn budgets stop runaway tasks while preserving completed history.
- Tool-action budgets prevent unlimited execution in one request.
- Configurable tool timeouts include command cancellation and language-server queries.
- Context thresholds compact older tool output during a run, preserving message and tool IDs.
- Tool batches are limited to 16 calls; independent read batches run concurrently up to eight calls.
- Identical failed tools and nonzero-exit commands are blocked after three failures.
- Existing files must be read before the agent overwrites or patches them.
- Content fingerprints reject edits when a file changed since its last read.
- File saves use a synchronized temporary file and atomic replacement with a final stale-content check.
- File permissions, CRLF endings, and UTF-8 byte-order marks survive edits.
- Exact patches validate all replacements before writing and avoid no-op restore points.
- File reads are numbered and paginated, support start-only ranges, and explain how to continue.
- File listing supports glob filters and offset/limit pagination.
- Text search supports case-insensitive queries, nearby context lines, and configurable match limits.
- Dependency and generated folders are pruned even when the project has no Git metadata.
- Long searches check cancellation between files.
- New-file paths are checked before creating parent folders, including symlink escape checks.
- Managed processes can be inspected and stopped only from their owning project.
- Terminal buffering is bounded; UTF-8 characters survive split chunks and output truncation.
- Command-output draining has a deadline so inherited child pipes cannot hang a completed command.
- SSE parsing handles CRLF, multiline data, and arbitrary byte boundaries; incomplete streams never execute partial tool calls.
- Stream, frame, argument, and tool-output limits constrain oversized responses.
- Interrupted tool histories are repaired, orphan results are dropped, and staged Git diffs can be reviewed.
- After code edits, Deep requests a real project check before finalizing; the inspector reports a passed check only from an actual successful check result.
Verification
- Default read payload benchmark: 135,780 bytes before, 10,140 bytes after for a 6,000-line fixture: 13.39 times less context for the default read.
- Dependency-scan benchmark: 1,001 candidate files before, one source file after; 1,000 generated dependency files avoided.
- These benchmarks measure specific operations, not a universal coding-speed multiplier.
DeepThroat v0.8.1
Qwen desktop response improvements
- Qwen starts in Fast mode with an explicit Reasoning option in the composer.
- Responses finish without a second model request to summarize reasoning.
- Thinking activity remains visible when Reasoning is selected.
- Other models keep their existing reasoning settings.
DeepThroat v0.8.0

- Works with normal website login and Continue with Discord.
- Device-bound proof, five-minute expiry, and single-use redemption protect the handoff.
- API keys are stored in the operating system credential vault.
- Manual API-key setup remains available.
- Python language support is bundled through Pyrefly.
- Tool activity stays in Thinking, with diffs, command output, and Undo in the inspector.

- A slimmer sidebar with task search, integrations, settings, and account balance.
- Model, node, and effort controls grouped on the left of the composer.
- A collapsible Changes and Terminal inspector for real file diffs, command output, and exit status.
- Bundled Manrope, Space Grotesk, and DeepThroat Mono fonts.
