Added

  • New MCP tool automatic_register_project, so an agent can register a new project in Automatic without opening the app. Takes a unique project name and an absolute path to an existing directory, plus an optional description and agent tool ids (e.g. claude, cursor, codex). When agents are passed, their config files are synced into the directory immediately, mirroring the Add Project wizard. Duplicate names, directories already registered to another project, and unregistered on-disk .automatic/project.json configs are all refused before any state is written, so a rejected call never leaves a half-registered project; orphan configs are left untouched for import via the app. Covered by nine new unit tests, and documented in the bundled automatic skill and service rule. (fed2142)
  • MCP Setup card in the Tools section with copyable config snippets for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Codex CLI, and OpenCode, covering tools Automatic does not configure automatically. (208791d)

CI

  • The release workflow now publishes the GitHub release once every asset, including latest.json, has been uploaded, with the matching CHANGELOG entry as the release body. Releases previously stayed in draft. (7822482)

Documentation

  • Added docs/agent-update-checks.md, the log for the weekly agent vendor-source review, with one row per agent and a findings note. Linked from the docs index under Agent Reference. (82fc266)
