v1.0.1

@github-actions github-actions released this 25 Oct 21:36

Built from
9e5852541ba1436417e2c4468960e8c6de6deda5.

This does not include the game. You need your own copy of
Banjo-Tooie (USA) and will be asked for it on first launch:

Format .z64 (big-endian, unbyteswapped)
SHA-1 AF1A89E12B638B8D82CC4C085C8E01D4CBA03FB3
Internal name BANJO TOOIE
Platform Archive Run
Windows x64 BanjoTooieRecompiled-windows-x64.zip extract, run BanjoTooieRecompiled.exe
Linux x64 BanjoTooieRecompiled-linux-x64.tar.gz extract, run ./run.sh from inside the extracted directory
Linux (Flatpak) BanjoTooieRecompiled.flatpak flatpak install BanjoTooieRecompiled.flatpak

On Linux, run it through run.sh rather than the executable
directly: the launcher looks for its assets/ directory relative to
the working directory. It needs a working Vulkan driver and the
shared libraries it links against — SDL2, FreeType and libdbus —
and, for the Select ROM dialog, a running xdg-desktop-portal
(standard on GNOME and KDE). See README.md for the exact
list and the packages that provide them.

The Flatpak package resolves assets internally and uses the
desktop portal for the ROM picker dialog.

Requires a GPU with Direct3D 12 (Shader Model 6) or Vulkan 1.2.
See README.md for details.

What's Changed

  • Use the portal file dialog on Linux to fix the Select ROM crash by @jeffsmith82 in #13
  • Add Flatpak support and devenv environment by @Superredstone in #11
  • Fix Breegull Blaster room-entry crashes by correcting relocation carry by @JJSchndr in #15
  • Match Expand visibility to the wider camera instead of forcing objects visible by @JJSchndr in #16
  • Preserve framebuffer write bounds for expanded Tooie world triangles by @JJSchndr in #17
  • Use complete composite pickup visibility bounds only in Expand by @JJSchndr in #18
