Welcome to the first stable release of our 3D Rubik's Cube Simulator, a highly optimized, cross-platform interactive puzzle built completely from scratch in Rust using the Bevy Engine!

✨ Core Features

  • Fully Interactive 3D Interface: Smooth and responsive rendering driven by the Bevy game engine. Drag, rotate, and interact with the puzzle physically with natural animations.
  • Kociemba Two-Phase Solver: We've integrated an asynchronous solver utilizing Kociemba's IDA* search algorithm (kewb), capable of finding near-optimal solutions (under 28 moves) for any randomly scrambled state in milliseconds.
  • Asynchronous State Machine: The core engine offloads heavy solver calculations to a background thread (std::sync::mpsc::channel), guaranteeing that the UI remains flawlessly smooth at 60+ FPS while crunching numbers.
  • Mathematical Purity: A flawless 54-facelet memory representation ensures physically accurate cube physics, preventing any illegal or broken states.

🛠️ Architecture & QA

  • Robust Integration Suite: Added deterministic continuous integration tests to guard mathematical edge cases (like physical reverses or identity turn constraints) directly via cargo test.
  • Warning-Free Builds: Codebase was polished and linted for a clean compilation suite under Rust stable.
  • Cross-Platform Binaries: Automated GitHub Actions pipelines automatically provide the resulting binaries natively for macOS, Linux, and Windows.

To try it out, simply download the binary for your operating system from the Assets section below, or compile from source using cargo run --release.

"God's Number is 20, but the possibilities are endless." Happy solving! 🚀
