Updating

  • macOS: brew upgrade --cask vimma, or download vimma-0.1.15-macos-aarch64.dmg
below and drag Vimma over the copy in Applications.
  • Linux: :update shows the command for how you installed Vimma; the user guide's
    Updates section lists them all.

0.1.15 · Firefox 159.0.1 (2026-11-04)

Added

  • Vimma's own agent runs Codex too: in the chat window, Esc, m, then add: agent CLI (Claude Code, Codex) finds the codex on your PATH, and tasks run on Codex's own login and plan. In the browser it reaches only the agent workspace, through the same tools, grants and checkpoints as any agent; Vimma turns off every other MCP server of Codex's configuration, and its apps and plugins, for each run. Its own shell commands and file changes keep the sandbox and approvals of ~/.codex/config.toml, and each is a ◆ line in the transcript. Codex cannot take a message during a task, so one sent then is marked (sent after the running task) and becomes the next task once this one is done; after a stop it is not sent. The new e2e scenario m0-agent-cli and its baselines m0-agent-cli-setup-list, m0-agent-cli-question and m0-agent-cli-stopped show setup's list, a payment question in the window's prompt slot, and a stopped task.
  • agent: codex as a provider of the chat window (#728) (38e5268), closes #609
  • panel: counts, gg/G and {N}G in the side and bookmarks panels (#724) (e9f475d), closes #721
  • updates: show flatpak update as the flatpak's update command (#725) (b6ec810)

Fixed

  • bench: refuse an unknown base name without fetching it from origin (#737) (1a525ab)

The AppImage starts with the unmodified AppImage type-2 runtime 20251108 (MIT), which
statically links libfuse 3.15.0 under the LGPL-2.1-or-later. Its source:

standard library, and on Linux musl and LLVM's libunwind, into its binary; their notices are in
