D'arce 0.1.0

The first public build of D'arce: Arc, rebuilt as a native Mac app on WebKit.

What's in it

• Spaces, pinned tabs, Favorites and the sidebar, the way Arc did them
• ⌘T for everything
• One-click import from Arc: your Spaces, pinned tabs, Favorites, history, sign-ins and most extensions. Chrome and other Chromium browsers work too. Nothing leaves your Mac.
• A 19 MB app built on WebKit, the engine behind Safari that already ships with macOS

Install

1. Download Darce-0.1.0-arm64.dmg below (Apple Silicon, macOS 14 or later).
2. Open it and drag D'arce into Applications.
3. D'arce isn't notarized by Apple yet, so the first launch needs one approval: open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway. Or run:

   xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/D'arce.app"

Known issue

• On Macs whose speaker is a virtual audio device that also has inputs (Background Music, BlackHole, Loopback), macOS may ask to let D'arce use the microphone during the welcome. Choosing Don't Allow is safe; D'arce never records. A fix is in progress.
