CE-Deploy 16.4.0
CE-Deploy 16.4.0 introduces Partner Plus, a major expansion built for partners and external administrators who manage multiple customer organizations. Select a customer once, then use the familiar CE-Deploy workspace and applicable Commercial cloud tools in that customer's context.
This is a full stable CE-Deploy release. Partner / External administrator access is labeled Beta in Add Organization so partners can help shape the experience; the beta designation applies to that feature, not the release as a whole.
Partner and external administrator access
Use a Partner Plus membership to select up to 30 customer organizations on each computer and work with them through CE-Deploy's existing device, workspace, configuration, inventory, certificate, phonebook, tag-schema, deployment and scheduling workflows. Discover organizations available through Partner Administrator and external-administrator access in one picker. Customer organizations appear in Organizations and the fast switcher with clear administrator labels.
Customer selections remain local to each computer.
Refresh the Webex connection from a customer card; token status updates across customers using that connection. Customer cards also support rename, connection testing and the existing on-premise bridge workflow.
Membership improvements
- Partner Plus includes all Pro features, a separate one-time 30-day trial and support for up to four activated computers.
- Paid upgrades and finite BMC gifts recognize Partner Plus without requiring a trial. Refresh membership from Settings after an upgrade.
- The membership owner can activate a computer even when its day-to-day user signs into Webex with a different account.
- Gift-derived access is capped at the provider gift deadline. Existing Pro access, billing and original trial dates are preserved.
Partner access beta scope
Commercial Webex is enabled. Delegated FedRAMP support is planned separately; existing direct FedRAMP and on-premise workflows remain available. Partner access remains open for feedback, including verification of genuine Partner Administrator customer discovery. Device/API permissions remain determined by Webex and the target device.
Sign-in and reliability
- Webex sign-in now opens the default browser, enabling browser-supported enterprise SSO and passkeys. Each interactive sign-in asks for an account so cached credentials do not silently select the previous organization. Automatic token refresh remains in the background.
- Fixed MicrosoftTeams commands appearing invalid in the xAPI editor despite being available in Command Search; both use the current command catalog.
- Fixed confirmation dialogs getting stuck when confirmed during their opening animation, including consecutive workspace CSV submissions.
- Updated image-processing and YAML dependencies to resolve the sharp and js-yaml security advisories.
For custom Webex integrations, register http://localhost:42813/ exactly before using this version. Keep existing redirect URIs registered for older installations. Browser sign-in uses the browser's proxy and certificate settings; token exchange continues to use CE-Deploy's configured proxy.
