What's new

• Gun, World, System and In-game settings tabs with Advanced pages. In-game opens native Service.
• One controller owns the settings pointer. A contact dot marks its hit. Laser offers Off, Normal, 5x and 10x.
• Either hand can Start solo play. The free trigger can take over after releasing the active trigger. Start on the free hand joins P2, then the saved layout takes over.
• How to Play uses Start and Fire, with an inward trigger callout.
• Crosshair defaults are 22% minimum, 60% maximum and 6.7 m shrink distance. The reload button works with both Shoot off-screen and Point off-screen.

Requires your own original arcade game files. Includes standalone Quest and Windows OpenXR builds.

The House of the Dead VR — PCVR launcher hotfix

This fixes a Windows PCVR launcher error that occurred after the hotdo ROM check succeeded:

Error: unknown option: -nvram_directory ...

PowerShell now passes each save-data directory option and its path separately to the emulator. The game binaries and ROM requirements have not changed.

This release contains only the corrected PCVR ZIP and its source. Quest users should continue using the unchanged APK from v0.1.7-beta. Windows OpenXR gameplay on the reporter's Valve Index remains to be confirmed.

If you already extracted the previous PCVR package, you can replace just launch-pcvr.ps1 from this ZIP. Keep your roms and userdata folders.

The House of the Dead VR v0.1.7-beta

First public Quest 3/3S standalone and Windows OpenXR beta of the original Sega Model 2 House of the Dead. This is a separate Quest app from Port0r's port and from The House of the Dead 2. It has stereo VR, head tracking, tracked lightguns, original pistol presentation, and VR4ALL settings.

Bring your own original hotdo revision with all required payloads. VR4ALL places the verified archive at /sdcard/Download/hotdo.zip. A legacy hotd.zip works only when its contents match this original revision. No original game data is included.
