Backloggd App 2.2 - Keeps your place, smarter reminders
The app keeps your place, and reminders and notifications behave.
Improvements
- Keeps your page when you rotate the phone, use split screen, fold or unfold it, or switch dark mode, instead of jumping back to the home page
- Dialogs are safe: pulling down while logging a game no longer reloads the page and throws away what you typed
- Notifications: with notifications switched off, the app no longer marks them as read on Backloggd where you would never see them; long comments can now be expanded
- Wishlist reminders also find games beyond the first 40 releasing this year, and wait for a connection when you're offline
- Profile and library links follow you when you rename yourself or log in with another account
- The update check asks GitHub at most once a day
Under the hood
- Other apps can only open Backloggd pages in the app
- The WebView no longer has file access on older Android versions
- Release builds no longer log usernames or page addresses
- Tidier code: shared notification code, page scripts as files, URL rules in one place, and more tests
