v1.2.1
Fixed
- Fleet upgrades and
deploy:envno longer fail on a host whose root login shell is fish.
The.envinstall was quoted twice, and fish reads a backslash before a quote inside
single quotes as an escape, so the upgrade stopped after staging the release with
-f: -c: line 4: unexpected EOF while looking for matching''`, leaving the stacks
stopped. Remote commands are now quoted the same way by POSIX shells and fish.
Upgrade notes
- An upgrade runs the scripts of the release it starts from. Upgrading a fleet with a
fish-shelled host from 1.1.0 or 1.2.0 therefore still hits the bug: run that one
upgrade asDEPLOY_KEEPENV=false ./logstotal upgrade. The overlay never
touches.env, so skipping the extra backup and restore is safe. Do not combine it with
DEPLOY_CLEAN=true. - A fleet left stopped by this failure already has the new code on every host. Finish it
with./logstotal deploy:start, or re-run the upgrade withDEPLOY_KEEPENV=false.
