The TLS handshake's elliptic curves on the DSP.
- EWGET.TTP now does the key exchange (X25519) and ECDSA signature checks on the Falcon's DSP56001, as it already did RSA. On the 68030 an ECDSA P-384 check took about 120 million instructions: your first fetch of Wikipedia (ECDSA certificates only) spent 86 s in the handshake. On the DSP: X25519 0.23 s, ECDSA P-256 0.40 s, P-384 0.78 s, so about 2 s for such a handshake.
- With the curves on the DSP, the first hello offers ECDSA as well as RSA, so a server with only ECDSA certificates is connected to once, not three times.
- -r now puts both RSA and the curves back on the 68030, to compare.
- The report: 'connect' is shown whenever a connection was made (a redirect's too), and the TLS time counts the tries a server turned down, saying how many: '(3 tries)'.
- With -l NET.LOG, the log says how long each signature and key exchange took on the DSP.
Try: -z 180 -n 2 -l NET.LOG https://en.wikipedia.org
