New

  • More stores. Madeira has a new GOG section: sign in with GOG's own login page, see your library, download and update games with the DLC you own, verify and repair them, and play with Galaxy achievements and stats (Madeira stands in for GOG Galaxy). A new EA app section: sign in, see your library and download games without the EA app. A new itch.io store shows your itch.io games and free games, and downloads and installs them, .7z archives included. Epic Games now handles game downloads and cloud saves together.
  • Store tabs. With more than one store on the library page, a row of tabs at the top (All, Steam, Other, GOG, itch.io, Epic, EA) shows one store at a time. All is the page as before; the tab you pick is remembered.
  • Steam:
    • DLC downloads with the game, with a switch per DLC
    • beta branches, with beta codes
    • a Workshop page per game
    • achievements
    • choosing the game's language
    • downloading from a PC on the same network
    • faster repairs
    • a switch that turns Steam Cloud off
  • A redesigned library. Game details pages, a starting screen, and Settings split into pages. You can also turn on a zoomable grid in Settings › Appearance › New library grid.
  • Recommended settings for many games, with Reset to Recommended. Share Setup sends a game's setup to someone else.
  • Get Help from Claude on a game's page shares a fixes guide together with your log and config.
  • Translations: German, Spanish, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese and Russian.
  • External drives, save backups and Home Screen shortcuts.
  • Games and downloads keep running when you leave Madeira.
  • Wine Mono and Wine Gecko download for you, without Wine's download windows.
  • Graphics:
    • MetalFX upscaling per game
    • experimental frame generation
    • a per-game picker for the graphics card the game sees
    • FPS limits, including 40 FPS on 120 Hz screens
    • an optional thermal frame cap
  • The performance overlay has a Column layout that you can drag anywhere on the screen.
  • Controllers and touch controls:
    • rumble, adaptive triggers and the lightbar on real controllers
    • an optional DualSense / DirectInput mode
    • gyro aim and turbo
    • touch control gesture zones
    • a size slider per touch control, and the editor's panels close when you tap outside them
    • a Button style for touch controls: Glass (Liquid Glass) or Solid (plain opaque buttons), in the in-game menu and in Settings › Appearance
  • On iPad: Command-V pastes into games, and the mouse wheel scrolls.
  • On iPhone: a Bluetooth or USB mouse works with AssistiveTouch on; mouse-look no longer stops at the screen edges.
  • JIT: Madeira offers StikDebug when the built-in helper is not available.

Fixed

  • Native D3D12: many fixes, including DXIL tessellation, shader caching and faster pipeline builds.
  • Memory and JIT: many fixes, so large 64-bit and 32-bit games crash less often.
  • Per-game AVX / AVX2, for games that quit with c000001d.
  • Steam CEG games can start through Madeira Dock.
  • Launchers that offered to install a game that was already installed: Madeira Dock now writes the Registry values from a game's install scripts before the start, as Steam's desktop client does.
  • Rockstar Games Launcher / Social Club 2.4.0.296 (the update of 3 November) loads its pages again.
  • The touch controls' Opacity slider now fades the buttons on iOS 26; it only faded their labels before.
  • Game pills: the 32-bit / 64-bit and DirectX pills under each game are gone, because they were often wrong. The size pill stays.

Known issues

  • Some Steam games with CEG copy protection still stop with "Madeira Dock stopped" on first start.
  • The GOG and EA app sections are new. Please send a log if something goes wrong.

Install

  • Requires iOS 26 or later. In-app pairing and the Madeira JIT shortcut need iOS 27.
  • If your sideloader asks whether to keep app extensions, keep them: Madeira's in-app JIT runs in one.
  • The IPA is ad-hoc signed (no certificate) and carries the app's entitlements, including the increased memory limit. Sideload it with your own Apple ID (SideStore, AltStore, Sideloadly, Plume or similar), which signs it for your device.
