Dark mode is now optional and off by default. Settings → ACF Blocks License → Dark Mode controls the dark fallback colors that follow the visitor's device. This changes existing sites on upgrade: blocks no longer use these colors unless the setting is on. Blocks stay readable on a light theme for visitors whose device prefers dark: on a theme with no color variables, block text on a white page goes from 1.19:1 to 8.32:1. A theme that goes dark with the device but defines no color variables needs the setting turned on, or its blocks will show dark text on a dark page. Colors the theme defines still follow the theme, including its own dark mode toggle. The acf_blocks_dark_mode_enabled filter can force the choice, and the rules moved from tokens.css to tokens-dark.css, which isn't loaded while the setting is off.
