XDict 0.6.12: the history card takes the pane's corner, and the cards breathe

Core 0.5.7 · macOS 0.6.12 · Windows 0.1.6

A patch on 0.6.11:

  • The reading-history card's corner is now 15 pt — the drawer pane's 16 pt
    window corner at the cards' width (328 of 360 pt: 16 × 328/360 = 14.6) —
so the card and the pane read as one shape family instead of a sharp card
inside a round pane. The cards stand 12 pt apart, up from 6; a day's name
stays 6 pt above its first card, so a day still reads as one group.

Built and notarised; the release smoke passed on the stapled bundle, and
Gatekeeper accepted the disk image and the app inside it here and on the E2E
Mac on macOS 27.0.1.

XDict 0.6.11: the history card leads with the word and its gloss

XDict 0.6.11: the history card leads with the word and its gloss

Core 0.5.6 · macOS 0.6.11 · Windows 0.1.5

A patch on 0.6.10:

  • The reading-history drawer's card was sentence-first: the word was only a
bold span inside the sentence, and the card never said what it meant. It
now leads with the word (the dictionary's lemma when its form differs),
shows a gloss — the reader's latest AI meaning answer for that exact
reading, kept in the app's memory for the session only, else the recorded
edition's first sense or the translation it prints, else nothing — one line
of context centred on the word that expands in place to the full selectable
sentence, and the provenance. No flip: the review window is the recall
surface (ADR-0037). Ask AI hands the card's own sentence to a main window,
and only on that tap does it leave; a card's accessibility reads the word,
its gloss, the context and the provenance as one element, with the context
    control its own stop.

  • A note save no longer fails with "The note could not be saved" after the
dictionary service has ended itself for quiet. studyNoteAt,
studyReanchor and entryGloss name the edition rather than a handle, and
a fresh service answered notFound(.edition); the client now opens the
dictionary it registered for that edition and sends the call once more, as
it already recovered a late handle.

  • The dictionary gloss comes from the core (contract 21, entryGloss), so
every shell reads the same first sense from the recorded edition; the
extractor's measurement over 1,170 sampled entries found no structural
    failure.
