Profiles: one setup for every place you use your Mac. A tap feels different on a desk, on your lap and on a sofa. Now each place can have its own calibration, zone actions and sensitivity.
- Add one when you want it. LidTap starts with no profiles. Open Settings → Profiles and click Add Profile…: name it (Desk, Lap, Sofa…), pick an icon, and calibrate on the new surface, or start with a copy of your current calibration. What you've set up so far is kept as Default, and you can rename it.
- Switch from the menu bar. With two or more profiles, a switcher appears at the top of the LidTap menu. Press ⌘1 to ⌘9 while it's open. A profile that still needs calibrating shows an orange dot.
- Different actions in different places. For example, Desk switches desktops and Sofa plays and pauses music. Privacy Guard, feedback, sounds and update settings are shared by all profiles.
- Your data is kept. Calibration from earlier versions becomes the Default profile unchanged. Deleting a profile moves its taps to the Trash.
A simpler menu. The LidTap menu now shows just your zones, the profile switcher, and Privacy Guard, Calibrate Again, Settings and Quit. The live motion graph is in Settings → Detection, and Check Now for updates is in Settings → General. LidTap still checks for updates by itself.
Updating: on 1.0.2, LidTap offers this update within a day, or right away from Settings → General → Check Now. On 1.0.1 or earlier, download the zip below once and replace LidTap.app in Applications.
