Note: For zero server on the raspberry pi, please also have a look here: start on raspberry pi with a generated image
checkout, compile and install project:
git clone https://github.com/yorns/audioserver.git
cd audioserver
mkdir build
cd build
cmake ..
# or maybe you need some boost information:
cmake -D BOOST_DIR=/opt/boost/ ..
make -j4
sudo make install
Then you find the directory structure under /var/ or /usr/local/var (depending on your environment):
So if you are on a desktop you want to tweak the configuration a bit:
vi /usr/local/etc/audioserver.json
to be able to start the server with normal user right, change the port and change the base path to use /usr/local/audioserver
"Port": "8080",
"BasePath": "/usr/local/var/audioserver",
now start the server
audioServer /usr/local/etc/audioserver.json
Now you can access your audio library by opening your browser and using the url
http://localhost:8080
DONE!
First, be sure the id3 information are in place (by e.g. easytag).
then you can copy, move or link you audio files to the directory /usr/local/var/audioserver/audioMp3
File or directory names are unimportant. All audio item information is taken from the files ID3 information.
With the next server start, the audio library will be loaded. If caching is enabled within the config file, the cache entries will be generated on startup.
audio streams can be set with a json file in the directory /audioJon
The files must be in json format, must end with .json and must follow the form:
{
"Id": "d4e66ab5-e3ae-4dc0-9a25-3abcf3cf1db4",
"Title": "WDR3",
"Album": "WDR Stream",
"Performer": "WDR",
"Extension": ".png",
"AlbumCreation": false,
"TrackNo": 1,
"AllTrackNo": 24,
"Url": "http://wdr-wdr3-live.icecast.wdr.de/wdr/wdr3/live/mp3/128/stream.mp3",
"Image": "iVBORw[...]"
}
