User Start
As a user, the usage is very simple:
Just switch your browser to the page on port 8080 by default:
http://localhost:8080
And you see the (empty) Startpage. When the server was started (audioserver)
Now there are two posibilities:
- Stop the server and place you mp3 files (or links) into the audioMp3 directory
(
/usr/local/var/audioserver) and start the server in the end - upload your files (when you are on localhost/your own computer owns the audioserver, the files are doubled)
After that, your audio files should be available.
To find your files, use the search string.
Normally, it uses matching on Album and Performer. The output is always (a list of) albums.
You can use the Reverse Polish Notation ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reverse_Polish_notation ) with algebra signs (only | and &)
Example:
Tschick Biedermann Schatzinsel | | |
gives all Albums with "Tschik" or "Biedermann" or "Schatzinsel" in its name/performer.
In case, there are more albums, all will be shown.
Have fun!
For Experts:
- Add Playlists
- Add Internet Streams
- Insert Covers/Images to Playlists or Internet streams
- Use Tags
- Use Reversed Polish Notation for playlists creation
Why no https
On an old raspberry pi or raspberry pi zero, the https is encription/decryption consumes some computational power. There was and will be an https version available to support secure connections. On a local use, this is not necessary, I guess.
