Highlights

Six-Axis Launcher — the agent launcher now exposes all six configuration axes across TUI, Web UI, and CLI:

Axis Values
Provider claude, codex, gemini
Model per-provider options
Permissions default, bypass, plan, acceptEdits, dontAsk
Runtime local, container
Execution local, hybrid
Shell /bin/zsh, /bin/bash, /bin/sh
Session tmux, direct
Tracing ON / OFF

Frontend Parity — all three frontends (TUI :new, web Launch dialog, aimux spawn CLI) accept the same fields and call the same spawn.LaunchOpts backend.

New Features

  • Direct session manager: run agents without tmux (--session direct). Agent runs in the foreground, no detach/reattach.
  • Web launch feedback: floating "Launching..." indicator with auto-select when the agent appears in the SSE stream.
  • LaunchResult API: POST /api/agents/launch now returns tmux_session in the response for reliable agent matching.
  • NewPicker eliminated: :new opens the Launcher directly (no more "Local / Hybrid / Remote" picker overlay).
  • K8s excluded from provider list: K8s is a runtime, not an agent type.

Performance

  • Batched tmux writes: consecutive printable characters sent in one tmux send-keys call instead of one subprocess per keystroke.
  • Faster poll intervals: 50ms active / 200ms idle (was 100ms / 500ms).
  • Fast session file discovery: 200ms poll for 10s after launch (was 2s tick-gated).

Bug Fixes

  • Trace pane empty after launch: Reload() was skipped when the file tailer started.
  • Launched agent missing from dashboard: injected into instances immediately, persists across discovery ticks via pendingAgents map.
  • False WorkingDir match removed pending agents prematurely: now matches only by exact tmux session name.
  • MatchTmuxSessionByPID fallback when Claude changes its CWD after launch.
  • Export handlers returned 500 for expected error conditions (now 4xx).

Testing

  • 18 new integration tests with real fixtures (no mocks): provider parsers, diff extraction, cost calculation, session history, badge evaluation, web API real pipeline, container runtime.
  • 3 provider fixture files: Codex JSONL, Gemini JSON, enhanced Claude JSONL with Edit/Write tool calls.
  • Regression tests for pendingAgents merge logic, MatchTmuxSessionByPID, launchDirect.
  • 35 packages, 1100+ tests, all passing.

Documentation

  • configuration.mdx: six axes (was four), execution field, direct session manager.
  • launch-modes.mdx: complete overhaul with six-axis reference, TUI/Web/CLI examples.
  • index.mdx: updated feature list.
