BrowserDo as a Claude Desktop extension.

Install: download browserdo-mcp-cldd-0.9.4.mcpb and double-click it, or drag it into Claude Desktop's Settings → Extensions. Claude Desktop runs it with its own Node.js, so you do not need to install Node.js. Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.

On first use BrowserDo downloads and installs the Embiody browser (about 140 MB, a few minutes); browser_status reports the progress.

Other clients: use the npm package, npx -y browserdo-mcp (see the README).

Changes in 0.9.4

  • Fixes the browser install failing with error 75003 under the Microsoft Store build of Claude Desktop. BrowserDo now installs and starts the browser outside the app's container.
  • Claude plugin (claude/plugin): installs the same browser build as this extension, and its skill picks BrowserDo for web tasks.

If an earlier BrowserDo started the browser inside the Microsoft Store build of Claude Desktop and the browser's updates now fail, uninstall Embiody in Windows Settings → Apps; BrowserDo 0.9.4 installs it again on next use.
