v22.0: Compact 'Zlc' Text Selection Toolbar Action, text/* MIME Expansion, HTTP/HTTPS Smart Selection Link Handler & Partial 'https' Selection Guard
User Prompt:
"What are some example apps that support in place link cleaning? I tried one but it only sent the https part not the whole URL. Can I make zlc show up more often in the various menus that show up after selecting text? [Selected: Broaden PROCESS_TEXT to all text MIME types, Add HTTP/HTTPS link handler for Smart Selection; Label: Zlc; Partial selection: Show a helpful Toast and leave text unchanged]"
Changes:
- Added a dedicated ProcessTextAlias with the ultra-compact Zlc label and android:priority=100 so Android floating text selection toolbars fit it on the primary bar instead of pushing 15-character ZnepLinkCleaner into the overflow menu
- Broadened ACTION_PROCESS_TEXT intent filters from text/plain to all text/* MIME types (supporting rich-text editors, HTML/Markdown inputs, and custom text views)
- Added an exported HTTP/HTTPS CATEGORY_BROWSABLE LinkHandlerAlias (Zlc Clean) so Android TextClassifier Smart Selection and link menus can route highlighted URLs directly to ZnepLinkCleaner
- Implemented a Partial URL Selection Guard (LinkCleaner.isPartialUrlSelection) for ACTION_PROCESS_TEXT: when double-tapping a URL in an input box only highlights https (due to Android stopping word selection at ://), Zlc shows a helpful Toast and returns RESULT_CANCELED so the user text remains untouched without hijacking the screen
- Bumped versionCode to 22 and versionName to 22.0 and synchronized v22.0 release notes across ReleaseNotes.kt, README.md, CHANGELOG.md, index.html, and repo.html
Release v21.0 (Build 21): Google Play Publishing Version Bump
User Prompt: "Publishing to Google Play finished. Please bump the version code: increment versionCode by 1 in the app build.gradle(.kts) file, and set versionName to ".0"."
Changes:
- Incremented versionCode from 20 to 21 and updated versionName to "21.0" in app/build.gradle.kts following Google Play publishing completion for v20.0.
- Synchronized v21.0 release notes and triggering prompt across the Android app (ReleaseNotes.kt), linked GitHub repository (README.md & CHANGELOG.md), and web portal (index.html & repo.html).
- Committed v21.0 as a separate prompt-annotated commit on main, tagged v21.0, and pushed to https://github.com/znep/znep-link-cleaner (main, gh-pages, and GitHub Releases).
Release v20.0 (Build 20): Facebook Native Deep-Link (fb://native_post) Base64 Permalink Decoder, wtsid Tracker Purge & GitHub Pages/Releases Hosting
User Prompt: "Does it make sense to setup the git repository so I can host the website on GitHub pages? Or something? Explain each option presented. / This happened trying to expand a Facebook link from a copy from a text field."
Changes:
- Decoded Facebook native Android app deep-link redirects (fb://native_post/?wtsid=..., fb://facewebmodal/f?href=..., fb://story/..., and intent://...#Intent;scheme=fb;...) directly into canonical https://www.facebook.com//posts/ permalinks by unpacking Facebook's Base64 GraphQL S:_I: token.
- Eliminated false-positive 'Security Firewall // Unsafe Redirect Blocked' errors when Facebook mobile web pages attempt to launch the native fb:// app scheme during headless WebView expansion.
- Added DOM meta-tag fallback extraction (al:android:url, link[rel=canonical], og:url) in FacebookWebViewExpander and added wtsid, _rdc, and _rdr to KNOWN_TRACKING_PARAMS.
- Deduplicated stacked security advisory banners and clarified the output URL box header when warnings are present in CleanResultCard.
- Configured GitHub Pages static deployment (gh-pages + CNAME linkcleaner.znep.com) and automated GitHub Releases binary asset publishing via the GitHub REST API.
Release v19.0 (Build 19): Post-Play Store Publish Version Bump
User Prompt: "Publishing to Google Play finished. Please bump the version code: increment versionCode by 1 in the app build.gradle(.kts) file, and set versionName to ".0"."
Changes:
- Incremented versionCode from 18 to 19 and updated versionName to "19.0" in app/build.gradle.kts following Google Play publishing completion for v18.0.
- Synchronized v19.0 (Build 19) release notes and triggering user prompt across the Android app (ReleaseNotes.kt), web portal (index.html, repo.html), README.md, CHANGELOG.md, and GitHub commit/tag history.
