What is in this version

• Today: drag the divider between the figures and the latest bills to give either side more room. The place is remembered.
• "Every bill needs a seller" is greyed out when no employee is active and the "Who sold this?" box is switched off, and a small (i) beside it says why.
• Esc goes back from any page opened on top of another (a bill, a Settings page, a report).
• Read-only figures are in cards on Today, Reports and Expenses, and the purchase orders are cards too; the two columns start at the same height. Hovering a row now shows a soft blue highlight inside the card.
• Icons in a chosen chip are white, like its text.
• Deleting an expense asks for the owner PIN.

What is in this version

• New prices and plans. A new shop pays ₹4,500 for its first year (offer). Everyone else chooses six months for ₹2,800 or one year for ₹5,000. There is no monthly plan any more. The payment page and the manuals show the new prices.
• New logo and font. The app icon and logo are the new blue ones, and the app uses the Poppins font.
• Today: latest bills. Each bill is a card with a clear gap, and its details are shown in full instead of being cut short. Chips and filter buttons are rounded rectangles, not capsules.
• New default colour theme "ShopBill": blue with a terracotta accent on warm paper-like greys (light and dark). New shops and shops that never picked a colour get it; black and white and the other themes are still in the list, and a colour already chosen is kept. In this theme the coloured banners are flat (no gradient), "owes", "returned" and other needs-attention amounts use the terracotta accent, and tooltips and pop-up messages use the warm dark/light colours.
• A calmer, plainer look on every page except the Bill entry boxes. Pages open with a plain heading or a large figure instead of a big coloured block. Today, Reports, Bills, Customers, Staff, Expenses and Purchases show their figures and lists as ruled lines, not boxed cards with an icon on every row. Chosen chips and buttons are solid blue so the chosen one is easy to see. Amounts owed are terracotta, paid is green, and delete and cancel actions are red. The phone More page is a simple list.
• Settings and setup are simpler. The Settings list is grouped (Shop, People, Data, App) with one-line descriptions, Reset shop and Remove sample data sit in their own "Careful" group, and the Employees and Categories lists are plain rows. A "Skip" button on the employees step of setup.
• Fixes. Bill rows no longer say "Cash · Cash"; cards on Purchases are spaced; the Staff "Attendance" tab is no longer pushed off a phone screen; the amount columns on Customers line up; the backup "Keep the newest" numbers are compact again; the licence Activate button waits for a key; the amount in the receive-payment box is shown with commas.
• Fewer colour themes offered. Royal blue, Indigo, Plum, Rose, Ocean and Sunset are no longer in the list (a shop that already uses one keeps it).

What is in this version

• The Bill page never jumps ahead by itself. A shop can have more than nine categories, so after the employee number and after the category number you press Enter (on a phone, Next) to move on, in every box.
• No employee, no E.C. column. A bill that no employee sold has no employee column, and the SN column is wide enough to keep its heading on one line.
• A shop with no employees can switch off "Who sold this?". Settings, Employees shows the switch while the list is empty; the box comes back when you add an employee.
• The phone number boxes are the right size: a three digit country code box, a number box that fits ten digits, and a number box that takes all the room on a phone.
• Sending a bill on WhatsApp sends the PDF. On a phone, the share list opens with the printed bill as a PDF and the bill written out as the message. A computer opens the customer's chat with the message and the folder with the PDF to drag in.
• After taking a payment from a customer, the receipt can be sent on WhatsApp. One sum can pay several bills: it clears the oldest bill first, the payment box shows which bills it will go to, and the receipt lists them and what is still to pay.
• "Every bill needs a seller" switches itself off when no employee is active (none added, all switched off or deleted): bills go to the shop and the Bill page can hide "Who sold this?" (Settings, Employees).
• Employees can be deleted. One with no bills or attendance is removed for good; one with history is taken out of every list but still named on the old bills. The number of a removed employee is free again.
• Sending a bill on WhatsApp goes to the number saved on the bill only, with the bill written out and a thank-you at the end. On an Android phone the PDF goes straight into that customer's chat with the bill written out as the message and a thank-you at the end (if WhatsApp does not accept that, the share list opens). On a computer the chat opens with the message, and for a bill with credit the UPI payment QR picture is put in a folder to drag in.
• The receipt of a payment from a customer is a PDF too: it is sent with the WhatsApp message and can be printed.
• A Receive payment button on each credit bill (in the customer's bills and on the bill page): the money goes to that bill only.
• Dozen is a unit besides piece, packet, metre, kilogram and litre ("Rate per dozen").
• The Bill page shows the number of the bill being made (the next number, or the number of the bill being changed).
• "Sold by" is the owner's name on a bill that no employee sold (it was "Shop").
• On a phone, the connection icon and the page's settings icon sit in each page's own top row (the date row on the Bill page, the title bar on Bills, Expenses and Purchases, the first line elsewhere) instead of a strip of their own, so the Bill page keeps its height. The Add button is as tall as the boxes beside it.
• The owner chooses whether the bill prints "Sold by" (Settings, the Bill page settings). The phone number box fills the whole row.
• The A4 bill is an invoice. A big heading (TAX INVOICE, or BILL when there is no GST number), the shop on the left, who it is for beside the bill number and dates, how to pay (the UPI id and its QR), a clean table of the items, the totals with what was paid and what is still due, the terms, and bands in the colour of the chosen theme. A long bill runs over to more pages. The 80 mm and 58 mm rolls are unchanged.
• Only English and Hindi are offered for now. The other languages are hidden from every list and from the website and the manual.

What is in this version

• A category can be sold by the piece, the packet, the metre, the kilogram or the litre. For kilograms, litres and metres the Bill asks for the amount (2.5 kg) and the rate box says "Rate per kg" (or litre, or metre); pieces and packets are counted and start at 1. Choose it when you add a category (Unit) or later in Settings. Categories already saved keep working.

• The sample data shows a mixed shop (shirts, rice, oil, mobile covers, biscuits, cloth, notebooks, soap) instead of a clothes shop.

• Translation review sheet. node tools/translation_review.mjs export makes a spreadsheet of every sentence in the five languages for a native speaker to correct; import brings the corrections back.

• ShopBill is for any shop, not only for textiles. In the first setup, What do you sell? no longer comes with a list of clothes: it starts empty and you add your own categories with Add category (for example Shirts, Rice, Mobile covers), each with a number you type on the Bill. You can switch on Sold by the metre for cloth. You need at least one, and you can add more later in Settings. What used to be called "item types" is now called categories everywhere (Bill, Reports, Settings, the manuals), the examples in the app are no longer about cloth, and the About page, website and README say "any shop".

• The Enter key works in every form. In 53 boxes (registration, payment contact, shop settings, expenses, suppliers, purchase orders, customers, staff and more) pressing Enter did nothing useful; it now moves to the next box, and on the last box to the button, which Enter then presses. On a phone the keyboard shows a Next key. The country picker is skipped by Enter and Tab (tap it to change the country code), so Enter goes straight from the shop name to the mobile number. A test now checks that no single-line box is left without an Enter action.

What is in this version

• Registration is guided. The page shows three steps (About you, Mobile number, Agree and start) that tick themselves off as you fill them in, a short reason under the fields (your receipt and licence key come to your mobile number on WhatsApp), a green tick beside each field that is done, and a "What happens next" box: your free trial starts now, nothing to pay today, ShopBill works offline after this, and a short tour follows.

• A guided tour. After the first setup ShopBill offers a one-minute tour once. A card walks you through the pages (Bill, Today, Bills, Expenses, Customers, Staff, Reports, Settings) in plain words, with Next, Back and Skip, and ends at making your first backup. Take it again any time: Settings, About and updates, Take the guided tour.

• ShopBill no longer stops when it has been offline for more than 7 days. It keeps working. A red message says it has not reached the server for so many days and asks you to connect: renewals, corrections from support and licence checks are waiting. (A licence the server has stopped, or one that has ended, still stops the app.)

• A connection icon at the top (a cloud) shows whether ShopBill can reach its server: online or offline. Tap it to see what that means and to press Sync now, which brings in renewals, corrections made by support, features and new versions. If you are offline it says so and offers Try again.

• Paying needs the internet, and the payment page now says so. If you open the payment page or press Pay while offline, a popup tells you that you are offline; Try again looks again, and nothing is sent until the internet is back. Your bills are safe and billing keeps working offline.

• Fixed: the mobile number check on the payment page. A number typed with spaces or a +91 in front was not checked properly. It is now checked the same way as a number typed plainly.

What is in this version

• Your shop name is the name you registered with, and it cannot be edited in the app. Starting over (Reset) only deletes the shop's data; it does not make a different shop, so the setup screen and Settings show the registered name locked. If the name must change, ask ShopBill support: they correct it in the admin panel.
• Corrections made by support reach the app by themselves. When the computer or phone is online, the shop name (always) and the bill phone number (when support corrected it) are brought in step with what the server holds, and the saved registration is kept in step.
• Every computer and phone must reach the ShopBill server at least once in 7 days (it was 30 days for a licence, and nothing for a trial). In the last 3 days a red bar counts the days left; after 7 days the app waits until it has been online once. Your data is not touched.

What is in this version

• If ShopBill cannot open its data at start, it now says so plainly and offers "Set the damaged data aside and start again". The damaged file is never deleted: it is kept beside your data under a new name, ShopBill starts empty, and Recover my shop on the first screen brings the shop back from a backup (you need the backup file and its password).

• A computer must reach the ShopBill server at least once every 30 days. In the last 7 days a red bar says how many days are left; after 30 days the app waits until it has been online once. Shops that are online now and then notice nothing.

• Today and the bill screen are easier to read: on a phone the four payment totals sit two by two (Credit was cut to "Cre..."), the Quantity box on the bill is wider, the payment buttons fill the row, the top search box is wider, and Features has its own icon in Settings (it shared one with Commission).

• ShopBill counts how often it started and how often the run before did not end cleanly (two numbers, nothing else), so the owner can see how steady the app is.

• The one-time fee for a new shop is now ₹5,000 (it still includes the first 12 months). The app shows whatever price the server holds, so this needs no new app version; the manuals say ₹5,000 from the next manual build.

• Forgot the owner PIN? There is now a way. Every PIN box has Forgot PIN?. It shows this device's ID; tell support, they check it is you, and send a reset code (made in the admin panel; works once, only on this device, for 24 hours). Paste it, choose a new PIN. Your data is not touched.
• Settings → About: Privacy policy and Terms of use open the pages on the ShopBill website (they always show now).
• Payment screen: the mobile number is explained in your language when it is missing, and the server now refuses a payment start without one.
• The first-start screen uses the window better and the buttons are bigger. The page is wider on a computer (up to about 900 px instead of 680), the languages sit in equal tiles, three in a row (two on a phone), and Next and Back are taller with larger words, with space above them. The shop-name box keeps a comfortable width.
• The language badges are easier to read: a short code (EN, HI, MR, GU, TA, TE) on a rounded badge beside each language name, instead of a script letter in a circle. The same list is in Settings.

What is in this version

• Fixed: ShopBill did not open on a Windows computer that had never had the Microsoft Visual C++ runtime ("MSVCP140.dll was not found", seen on a customer's computer with 0.5.17). The installer now carries the three runtime files next to the program, so a clean Windows works. If you have an older version with this message, install 0.5.18, or the free Microsoft runtime (the manual's Questions page has the link).
• Payment is by UPI only for now. The manuals and the privacy page now describe paying by UPI (address, amount and reference shown in the app; the owner confirms when the money arrives). The online payment page (Razorpay) is switched off on the server.
• Commission you pay to staff now appears in Expenses. Every payment (Staff → employee → Pay commission) is also an expense, in the category Staff Commission with the employee's name, so Expenses, Today, the reports and the exports include it. Undoing the payment removes the expense; the expense cannot be edited or deleted by itself (you are told to use Undo). Payments made before this version are added to Expenses the first time the new version opens (one each, never twice). If you had already typed some of those payments into Expenses by hand, delete your typed copy, because the app cannot tell them apart.
• The registration page uses the room it has. On a computer or tablet the form is wider (name beside shop name, mobile number beside email) instead of a narrow column with empty sides; on a phone it stays one column.
• Every language has its own mark (the first letter of the language in its own script, such as हि, म, ગà«�, த, తె) beside its name in the language choosers (first start, Settings, and the bill language), in every theme.
• The support email is now zorvex.techno@gmail.com (About page, manuals, pilot kit).
• The window and the file properties say "ShopBill" (the title bar used to say "shopbill").
• Google Drive backup is still "Coming soon", but its messages are clearer: permission refused or taken away, Google busy, a backup that is no longer in Drive; and the sign-in waits longer when Google asks it to.
• A "Good to know" card in Settings → About and updates lists the limits in plain words: a forgotten backup password cannot be recovered; what to do about a forgotten owner PIN; what the encryption does and does not protect; that staff can bill without the PIN; to keep one backup copy away from the device; and that Google Drive backup is not available yet. Translated in all five languages.

What is in this version

• Staff is now translated in the side menu in Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil and Telugu (it showed in English).
• In the Suppliers menu the second entry says "Edit" (it said "Change").
• Attendance is no longer a page of its own. It lives only in Staff (the Attendance tab, with the monthly roster for everybody, and each person's own Attendance tab). The side menu and the phone's More page lose the Attendance entry; the number keys close up: Reports is now Alt+8 and Settings Alt+9 (Alt+0 is free). Switching Attendance off in Settings → Features still hides the tab. The attendance records are not touched.
• Payment screen: the mobile number is required (the receipt and the licence key are sent to it on WhatsApp); a name and an email are not enough, and a made-up number is refused. The email is optional.
• Spacing: the plan cards on the payment screen and the Subscription, Renewal reminder and Payment history cards on the Licence page now have gaps between them.
