TVS 6.7.0 is absolutely packed with new features!

An all-new menu system and media server integrations allow you to use TVS as a Jellyfin or Plex client, and a new application framework allows 3rd party IFrame apps to take advantage of all the new remote control capabilities.

✨ New Features

Interactive menus and applications

• Added a menu and input-routing system including nested menus, data lists, on-screen keyboards, scrollable information screens, and application-specific remote input.
• Added support for user-defined IFrame applications, with an Application IFrame API for handling remote commands, presentation metadata, readiness, and lifecycle events.
• Added built-in interactive audio and video players for media server integration. The audio player supports persistent queues, cover art, media transport controls, and some cool audio effects. The video player includes queues, playback position recovery, and two themes to choose from.
• Applications run on a dedicated APP input. TVS remembers the previous channel, the active application, launch arguments, queues, and playback positions in IndexedDB so an application can be resumed after returning to the menu or refreshing the page.
• Added the ability to adjust picture settings inside TVS without needing to use esoteric keyboard shortcuts.
• Added a Factory Reset to the new settings page and our regular /setup page. It clears all browser-saved settings for TVS including local storage, session storage, cookies, browser databases, caches, saved application state, credentials, and picture settings.

Hypercom 1998 theme

The new Hypercom 1998 theme has it all; brand new menus, interactive info screens, and an original new visual style.

• Browse Movies, TV shows and Music with support for multiple Jellyfin and Plex servers.
• Use an interactive program guide to browse the internal guide listings added in TVS 6.0.

Keyboard Navigation

• Open the menu with Q!
• Navigate with WASD and select with F. E is the back button.
• Open the program guide from regular channels with G

Interactive program guide

• Added a new guide framework that'll help build guide services for other themes.
• You can search by time, by channel, and through the Movies, Sports, Children, News, and Search screens.
• Guide tables support numeric channel entry, half-hour navigation, and program-detail screens. Selecting an airing that is currently on tunes directly to its channel.
• Search and listing pages show current and upcoming programs, group repeated titles where appropriate, and omit hidden channels and channels numbered below 1.

Jellyfin and Plex media servers

• Introduced a new mediaServers system. Multiple Jellyfin and Plex servers can be configured independently, and credentials may be stored locally in the browser instead of in the public configuration file.
• Added a framework for paginated browsing of movie, TV show, and music libraries.

Remote control and kiosk integration

• Added new navigation, transport, color softkeys, menu and home buttons to the web remote.
• Added configurable keyboard and kiosk settings for the expanded remote command set.
• Numeric input can now be routed to menus and applications. Channel Up and Channel Down are always reserved for tuner controls; while an application is active they require a second press within three seconds before leaving the focused application.
