App Workspaces 0.1.2 — stale window repair preview
Fix stale app icons after a window closes. The bar now reconciles complete Hyprland client snapshots instead of retaining closed entries from the shell cache.
Validation: all 21 model and release tests passed. Live desktop checks confirmed one YouTube icon and removal of a temporary window after it closed.
App Workspaces 0.1.1 — package correction preview
Packaging correction for the App Workspaces preview, an MIT fork of Decent Workspaces by TheTrueFerret.
- Removes agent instruction files from the published source tree.
- Packages only an explicit list of 12 runtime, attribution, preview, and documentation files.
- Adds release tests that reject agent instruction files at any depth and inspect the archive contents.
- Preserves widget behavior, appearance, and saved settings.
All 19 model and release tests and both installer tests passed. Live Omarchy deployment contained only the allowed files and passed native validation and settings checks. See validation evidence.
This preview supersedes 0.1.0. Install through the current repository as described in the README. For manual archive installation, use a clean plugin directory so old files do not remain.
App Workspaces 0.1.0 — superseded preview
Superseded by 0.1.1, which removes agent instruction files from the published source and runtime package. The manually packaged 0.1.0 archive has been withdrawn. Use 0.1.1 for installation.
Initial preview of App Workspaces, an MIT fork of Decent Workspaces by TheTrueFerret. Upstream copyright, license, and Git history are preserved.
- Real installed app icons, ordered by window position, with one icon per window by default and optional grouping.
- Separate scratchpad pills that reveal and focus the selected window.
- Configurable floating windows and markers.
- Native Appearance and Windows settings, including unused workspace destinations 1–10.
- Right-click settings work while another native panel is open.
Tested on Omarchy 4.0.2 and Hyprland 0.56.2 with a horizontal floating bar. All 16 model tests passed. Multi-monitor, vertical-bar, mixed-scale, and broader browser coverage remain limited; see validation evidence.
Install and removal instructions are in README.md. This preview changes only its own widget settings.
