ResearchAssistant 0.9.0 — MyGo desktop shell

Highlights

  • MyGo 0.7.4 is now the default Windows desktop shell; the Wails fallback remains available with -tags "desktop wails".
  • bridge.API is exposed with mygo.Bind; the typed TypeScript client is generated at research-assistant/frontend/src/services/mygo.ts.
  • The window loads the existing loopback proxy, so the React app, SSE, uploads, downloads and cookies are unchanged.
  • The NSIS installer is a standard MUI2 wizard with an install-location page and optional PDF association.
  • backend.exe and sandbox.exe start with CREATE_NO_WINDOW, so no console windows appear at runtime.
  • Go workspace upgraded to 1.27.3; stale supervisor lock recovery and shell.Prepare early loading page.

Verification

  • go test ./... / go vet ./... for desktop pass on Windows and in golang:1.27.3-bookworm.
  • Backend, docker-sandbox and docker-core full suites pass in the Go 1.27.3 Linux container.
  • Frontend: 37 files / 146 tests, build, lint and bundle pass.
  • Real Windows launch verified: onboarding, /api/health, bridge calls, close-to-tray, second-instance restore, no console windows.
