Important

3.0.0 was tagged but never published to PyPI due to a wheel build issue, so 3.0.1 is the first release of the 3.x series and includes all breaking changes of 3.0.0. If you upgrade from 2.x, please refer to the 3.0.0 release notes.

Breaking changes (from 3.0.0)

  • All public functions take the modified image first: (img_m, img_r). Metrics are called directly, e.g. FSIM()(img_m, img_r); Metric.score() is deprecated.
  • VIFp and MAD scores differ from 2.x due to bug fixes (wrong argument order passed to piq for VIFp; incorrect block statistics in the MAD C extension). Results computed with older versions are not comparable.
