Fuel Types

You might be wondering, what kind of fuel should I use in my tank? It's really up to how you want your vehicle to perform.

Petrol

  • Used in high revving engines, they typically have a decent powerband with a fair amount of horsepower.
  • While they do give a decent amount of power, they'll burn a lot of this precious go-go gas doing so.
  • This is also highly flammable, and will most likely explode when shot with anything.

Diesel

  • Used in lower revving engines, these typically have a lot of torque to move those heavier vehicles.
  • Since they are lower revving, they won't consume as much diesel, and they'll get you moving, if not very quickly.
  • Since this fuel is compression based, it will only explode if hit with an explosive munition, yet it will leak if the tank is shot full of holes.

Electric

  • Elon Musk's dream of electric vehicles, electric engines are very heavy for their size, and so are the batteries.
  • While being heavy, they will give you constant torque at all RPMs.
  • The batteries won't leak or explode, and sometimes have been used as armor, just be careful to not rely on these when they do break.

Engines

This will just cover what to expect from the engine shapes

V-shape

  • Decently revving engines, they'll get you going where you need to go.

I-shape

  • More decently revving engines, they'll also get you going where you need to go, just easier to fit while giving about half the power of a similar size V-shape engine.

Boxer

  • Another nice set of engines, they are flat if a bit thick, and give a steady amount of power.

Radial

  • Typically found aircraft, these have decent torque and horsepower at the downside of having a rather high powerband and being wonky to fit.

Rotary (Wankel)

  • Usually found in small fast cars, these give amazing power to weight ratio for their size, while burning all of your fuel in one fell swoop.

Turbine

  • These fuel sucking beasts will give you boatloads of torque and power, but they are a bit slow to react to changes in throttle.

Electric

  • As mentioned above, these will give you a constant amount of torque while consuming a static amount of electricity.
