Documentation needed for settings.json

I need documentation on the meaning and possible values for the fields inside settings.json such as keyboardMode and inlineAutoCompletion vs liveAutoCompletion. Also the keyboard covers the quick tools, and the search and replace dialog; how do I show them on top of the keyboard instead?

That's not enough. For example quick tools has a value of 0 when turned off and 2 when turned on. Why should I turn on and off fields to see the right values? A simple doc listing the valid values for each field might be essential.
