1. Dynamic Multi-Drive Windows ESP Discovery (Resolves #8)

  • Eliminated stage-windows-image Halts: Resolved the status=0x800000000000000e (EFI_NOT_FOUND) error reported by users with multiple storage drives.
  • Always Boots Primary Windows Medium: On systems equipped with multiple internal storage devices (NVMe M.2 / SATA SSDs), the bootloader no longer halts when multiple EFI partitions are detected (matches > 1). It now automatically targets and boots your primary Windows OS medium (\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgfw.efi), eliminating the need to disconnect secondary drives or repartition disks.
  • Broadened Device Path Parser: Relaxed rigid media geometry constraints in Inspect() to natively support complex storage configurations, PCIe switches, NVMe namespace controllers, and MBR/GPT hybrid schemes.
  • Multi-Path Fallback: Added dual-mode path resolution supporting relative and root-qualified bootloader paths (\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgfw.efi, EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgfw.efi, and \EFI\Boot\bootx64.efi).

2. Logging & Diagnostics Engine Fix

  • Added full %p pointer formatting support to src/format.c, eliminating false Gu.fault triggers during diagnostic logging.
  • Enhanced detailed diagnostic telemetry in RUNxxxx.TXT to log each discovered storage volume and boot target.

3. Pre-compiled & Authenticode-Signed Binaries

  • Freshly compiled MSVC binaries (BOOTX64.EFI and AdaUnlockDxe.efi) signed with our custom Authenticode Secure Boot key (Custom UEFI SecureBoot Key).

2. The S3 Sleep Story & New Tool: Toggle-Sleep-Button.bat 😄

A little confession from the developer:
Yesterday evening, out of pure muscle memory, I reflexively clicked "Sleep" (Energie sparen) in the Windows Start menu before going to bed. This morning, I booted up ComfyUI, launched a MiniMax-H3 batch, and sat there wondering why my sampling was running at factory stock speed again... 🤦‍♂️

Because this unlock is 100% volatile RAM-only (zero EEPROM writes, total hardware safety), putting the PC into ACPI S3 sleep cuts power to the GPU, causing it to wake up back at stock limits until the next reboot.

So, because I am apparently incapable of stopping my own hand from clicking that button out of habit, I wrote a dedicated non-invasive helper tool and included it in the root of the release:

🛡️ Toggle-Sleep-Button.bat

  • Zero system tampering: Does not alter your Windows power plans, does not change monitor standby timers, and leaves all background services untouched.
  • 1-Click Start Menu Toggle: Cleanly hides the "Sleep" button from the Windows Start menu / Win+X menu so you (and I!) can never accidentally click it again.
  • Instant Reversibility: Option [2] restores the button immediately whenever you want it back.

    • Scaled the SEC2 Falcon firmware booter halt deadline from 5.0 seconds to 20.0 seconds (GU_BOOT_TIMEOUT_US = 20000000u).
    • Resolves premature error=-110 (ETIMEDOUT) halts on complex multi-dGPU configurations (e.g. Intel Arc + NVIDIA RTX on AM5 X670E) where the target GPU operates on a secondary PCIe slot during early UEFI Gen 1/2 negotiation.

  • Universal Multi-Console & ConSplitter Detach Isolation (Resolves #5):

    • Fixed GuMsiRelease: post-detach Expected(1) failed on motherboards where the UEFI Console Splitter (out_agent) manages secondary or auxiliary text output handles (protocol=0x387477c2 / EFI_SIMPLE_TEXT_OUTPUT_PROTOCOL, e.g. Serial console redirection, virtual ConOut).

  • VBIOS Factory Selector Tolerance (Resolves #4):

    • Expanded cold-boot SS1 selector verification (profile.c and unlock_610.c) to accept all un-unlocked states (SS1 <= 7, including SS1 = 0x0).
    • Resolves pre-flight refusal (Selectors invalid: SS0=0x25527121, SS1=0x0 (expected SS1==1, 3 or 7)) on RTX 4090 models with factory VBIOS revisions that initialize the secondary selector index to zero.
    • Special thanks to @gabrielfougeron for the detailed log file!

  • PowerShell Variable Scope Fix (Resolves #3):

    • Resolved a false-positive topology graph rejection (STOP: stage=MSI-release status=0x8000000000000006) that caused system hangs on complex workstation and server platforms (e.g., dual-socket Intel C621 like ASUS WS C621E SAGE, AMD WRX80 Threadripper, Supermicro).
    • On platforms equipped with integrated baseboard management controllers (ASPEED AST2500 / AST2600 BMC) and secondary PCIe root complexes, disconnecting the primary discrete display console triggers the UEFI console infrastructure to prune or adapt unrelated server console edges.
    • Relaxed graph assertions in Expected() to focus strictly on protected GPU endpoints (Plan.pci, Plan.gop, active display child handles), allowing foreign motherboard and BMC console adapters to dynamically adjust without halting execution. (Resolves #2).

  • Transparent Topology Diff Logging (GraphDiff):
