RTRendererAPI 4.2.2

Choose a tag to compare

@CeroxeAnivie CeroxeAnivie released this 25 Oct 11:30

Fix exact-camera rotation packing to match the GPU uniform row stride. This corrects rays for non-identity exact camera matrices while preserving double precision translation and the public ABI.

Validation: full strict acceptance and signed Central bundle verification passed, including native Vulkan/NVIDIA gates and an independent Maven consumer. Version 4.2.2 is published to Maven Central for renderer-api, renderer-core, and renderer-nvidia.

Binary distribution: Maven Central. This release records the annotated source tag.

RTRendererAPI 4.2.1

@CeroxeAnivie CeroxeAnivie released this 23 Sep 17:03

RTRendererAPI 4.2.1 fixes Vulkan buffer visibility for indexed triangle and procedural AABB builds. Explicit partial or shader barriers no longer suppress required acceleration-structure dependencies, and subsequent writes invalidate prior visibility.

The NVIDIA bridge explicitly initializes centered camera pinhole offsets. Native regressions cover the constants contract and SDK failure propagation. Frame-generation acceptance now uses the correct recommended 2x policy and avoids startup deadline catch-up bursts; NRD + DLSS SR + FG is included in release acceptance.

Validation: strict release acceptance passed (184 tasks); the final focused FG/adaptive/composed matrix and signed Central bundle/checksum verification passed (45 tasks). Public ABI is byte-identical to 4.2.0. MFG remains expert-only: short 3x runs can present native frames only; stable 3x pacing is not guaranteed.

Maven coordinate: top.ceroxe.rt:renderer-api:4.2.1. All three modules use version 4.2.1.

RTRendererAPI 0.3.0

@CeroxeAnivie CeroxeAnivie released this 26 Jul 17:26

Highlights

  • Java 21 is now the compilation and runtime baseline; published API and Core artifacts use classfile major version 65 while Gradle may continue to run on Java 25.
  • SceneInstance now owns validated per-instance lightmap coordinates, including a generic unpacked builder and a packed-host path.
  • GPUScene meshes without vertex lightmap coordinates use the instance fallback in both closest-hit and any-hit shading.
  • Optional GPU stream removal no longer treats absent compact-mesh attributes as live allocations.
  • LWJGL 3.3.3 compatibility paths free the native allocation base independently of buffer position.

Verified

  • Full 109-task strict acceptance gate, API ABI 0.3.0, staged Maven consumer, SBOM/license/checksum gates, and 18 pinned SPIR-V variants.
  • Java 21 compilation with both LWJGL 3.4.2 and compatibility baseline 3.3.3; API and Core classfile major version 65.
  • Native Vulkan validation, BLAS/TLAS compaction and update, complex GPUScene rendering, and 1920x1080 throughput on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU.
  • Signed Maven Central bundle verified with API/Core JAR, sources, Javadoc, POM, Gradle metadata, and detached signatures.

See CHANGELOG.md, docs/Java.md, docs/Java-API-Reference.md, and docs/SUPPORT.md for the complete contract.

@CeroxeAnivie CeroxeAnivie released this 25 Jul 08:50

Highlights

  • Official renderer-bound Vulkan swapchain presenter with IMMEDIATE / MAILBOX / FIFO reporting and bounded producer lead.
  • Capacity-aware trySubmit path that removes exception-based normal backpressure.
  • Correct retained-frame lifecycle so uncapped trace work cannot starve visible presentation.
  • Stable external-image resourceId and explicit memoryTypeIndex for safe import reuse.
  • Persistent TLAS update lane using ALLOW_UPDATE / MODE_UPDATE with reusable instance, scratch, and destination resources.
  • Bounded GGX metallic scene reflections and asynchronous managed CPU-frame readback.

Verified

  • Full 99-task release gate, 0-warning Javadoc, ABI 0.2.0, staged Maven consumer, SBOM/license/checksum gates.
  • Native external-memory completion and TLAS update tests on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU.
  • 2560x1600 IMMEDIATE three-ball Demo: 166.5 / 117.4 / 56.6 / 24.7 Present FPS at 1 / 2 / 4 / 8 spp in the recorded acceptance run.

See CHANGELOG.md, docs/MIGRATION.md, and docs/Vulkan-Interop.md for complete contracts and migration details.
