What's New in v1.1.6 - HOTFIX

1. Generic USB HID Controller Support

  • Integrated dynamic USB HID Report Descriptor parsing engine.
  • Supports a wide variety of DirectInput / Generic HID gamepads, retro pads, fightsticks, and adapters.
  • Custom profile remapping via clean UI in the Companion App and standardized .ini files in /data/onefamily/controllers/ (e.g. 2DC8_310B.ini, default.ini).

2. DualSense (PS5) Controller Temporarily Inhibited

  • Due to ongoing stability and report descriptor timing issues on the PS4 Orbis USB stack, DualSense support is currently inhibited.
  • When a DualSense controller is connected, the system immediately displays an on-screen notification:

    "OneFamily: DualSense support is in development"

  • The controller will not instantiate a virtual pad and will not execute unstable input routines.

3. OTA Updates

  • When a new stable release is out you'll be prompted to update the .pkg file. It will be downloaded in the /data/pkg/ directory.

    • Xbox 360 Wired & Wireless (via official & 3rd-party PC 2.4G USB receivers)
    • Xbox One Original, One S, One X (Wired)
    • Xbox Series X|S Wireless Controller (Wired)
    • Xbox One Elite Series 1 & Series 2 (Wired)
    • Compatible 3rd-party XInput / GIP gamepads (PowerA, Razer, PDP, etc.)

  2. Nintendo Switch Family:

    • Nintendo Switch Pro Controller (Official, with HD Rumble)
    • Joy-Con (L) & Joy-Con (R) via official Charging Grip
    • Nintendo Switch Online Classic Controllers (NES, SNES, N64, Genesis)
    • 3rd-party Switch wired controllers (PDP Faceoff, PowerA Wired, Horipad)

  3. Sony PlayStation Family:

    • Sony PlayStation 3 (DualShock 3 / Sixaxis official, with initialization handshake)
    • (DualSense PS5 is temporarily disabled)

  4. Google Stadia:

    • Google Stadia Controller (Wired)

  5. Generic HID / DirectInput Controllers:

    • 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless, Ultimate 2.4G, Ultimate 2C, SN30 Pro
    • GameSir G7, G3s, G4s, T1s, T2a
    • LanShen X1Pro, Xiaomi Mi Controller, Bionik Vulkan, Betop 2585N2
    • Any standard USB HID controller via /data/onefamily/controllers/default.ini or custom VID_PID profiles

Installation & Updating

  1. Install onefamily_companion.pkg on your PS4 via GoldHEN Package Installer.
  2. Launch the OneFamily Companion application.
  3. The app will automatically detect your setup, install/update the payload, configure GoldHEN autoboot, and deploy default controller profiles.
  4. Plug in any supported controller and enjoy system-wide control and in-game gameplay!
