Welcome to the Amethyst Mod Manager Wiki

This is a work in progress wiki that will contain guides on how to use the manager and all use all of its functions

Coming soon™

I'm currently testing the ability to add collections straight into the manager from nexus. This is how it will work.

  • This will only be available for Nexus premium users but depending on how well it works, I may make a manual method for free users

  • The manager will download all the mods in size order largest to smallest. It downloads 3 at a time

  • It then installs all of the mods smallest to largest using multiple threads.

  • The mods get placed in a profile that has the same name as the collection, This profile is separate from all other profiles meaning none of your other modlists get affected. You can freely swap between collections and deploy the one you want. This is actually already a feature when creating a new profile, We had to add this to make collections work

  • Currently some collections don't work, this can be due to missing mods on the collection or maybe the downloaded mods have weird quirks that don't work with our routing rules. Some collections might need some manual tlc to get them to work. But from my testing a good amount of them do work.

  • Each downloaded mod and install uses 1 api rate limit call total, I have made sure large collections don't use blow through your rate limit.

  • The modlist is sorted by the authors intended load order automatically, I still need to verify this is working correctly

  • Some collection authors provide pre configured FOMOD options, these are applied automatically. Some mods still need Fomod options to be applied manually

  • This feature will not be released until the application is registered with nexus and SSO works . There's also additonal testing needed to make sure it's working and complies with the api acceptable use policy.
