HermesChat v0.2.2 — cross-platform client for Hermes Agent (Android app, Windows/macOS desktop app, browser build).

What's Changed

Added

  • Chat images can be tapped to open a full-screen original-image viewer on mobile, desktop, and web (close button, Android back, and Escape all dismiss it).
  • The attachment panel gained an Original image checkbox next to the single photo picker: it uploads the untouched bytes and keeps the original filename extension (up to the server's 25 MB limit) instead of re-encoding to JPEG. Compressed upload stays the default, and re-uploads after a reconnect keep the chosen mode.

Fixed

  • Background-process notifications ([IMPORTANT: Background process …]) injected by the server no longer appear as messages you sent. They are rendered as centered timeline notices showing the notification headline, expandable to the full command/output text — in the chat timeline and in the cron run-detail view. Cron job prompts and skill injections, which share the same [IMPORTANT: envelope, keep their user bubbles.

Install Notes

  • Android: the APK is signed with a public debug keystore — see SECURITY.md.
  • Windows: the installer is unsigned — choose Run anyway at the SmartScreen prompt.
  • macOS: the dmg is unsigned — right-click → Open on first launch (Gatekeeper).
