Can I Disable Subgraph Image Previews?

Hi,
I just updated my ComfyUI and now my sub graphs are automatically displaying every save / preview image node from within them. Is there a way to turn this off?

• I've tried hiding the "$$canvas-image-preview" in the graph parameters but they keep unhiding.
• I've tried manually Un-Promoting the "$$canvas-image-preview" widget when right clicking every image node but they automatically re-promote themselves.

This sounds like it may be coming from the new subgraph preview/widget promotion behavior rather than from something saved manually in the workflow.

If $$canvas-image-preview keeps reappearing after hiding it or un-promoting it, then it probably is being auto-generated or auto-promoted by the frontend when it detects preview/save image nodes inside the subgraph. In that case, manually editing the graph parameters is not a reliable workaround, because the frontend will recreate the preview widget again.

I would also like a way to disable this. Showing subgraph image previews can be useful for small reusable subgraphs, but for larger workflows it can quickly become noisy, especially if the subgraph contains multiple preview/save nodes that are only meant for debugging.

A good option would be something like:

• a per-subgraph toggle to disable canvas image previews
• a global setting to not auto-promote $$canvas-image-preview
• or a “do not expose previews from inside this subgraph” flag

For now, if there is no setting already, this looks like a reasonable feature request / regression report for the frontend. The important part is that the manual hide/un-promote state should either persist, or there should be an explicit setting to disable subgraph image previews entirely.
