Welcome to the first Beta release of Hyper Bridge 0.5.0! This milestone represents a massive leap forward in bringing the native Hyper Island experience to all users—including those on CN ROMs—with unprecedented customization and stability.

🌟 The Headline: Native Live Updates (CN ROM Support)

The biggest breakthrough in 0.5.0 is the Native Live Updates engine. By rebuilding notifications as standard Android Live Updates, Hyper Bridge now allows the system to automatically wrap notifications into the Hyper Island.

• CN ROM Users: Islands finally work for you (HyperOS 3.0.300+) without needing official Xiaomi approval.
• Global Users: Enjoy smoother, native system animations for your Island.
• How to enable: You can select the new engine under the Theme Editor > Engine section or via App Settings > Global Settings > Engine.

🛠️ Critical Fix: Boot Reliability (#158)

I've implemented Direct Boot support. Hyper Bridge is now "Direct Boot Aware," meaning the service can reliably re-bind and start protecting your notifications immediately after a phone restart, even before you enter your PIN/Pattern. This fixes a critical bug #158

📱 New Onboarding & Navigation

• Onboarding Experience: A brand new onboarding flow to help new users set up critical permissions (Autostart, Battery Restrictions) correctly from the start.
• Navigation Compose: The entire app has been migrated to the latest Navigation 3 (Compose) architecture for faster screen transitions and better state management.

🎨 Layered Customization & Theme Engine

• Smart Resolution: A powerful new hierarchy for settings: Theme App Override > User App Override > Theme Global Override > User Global Fallback.
• Advanced Color Picker: The Theme Creator now features a professional HSL (Hue, Saturation, Lightness) selector for ultra-precise color control.
• Behavior Controls: You can now edit behavior settings (Show on Notification Panel, Timeout, Popup, and Duplication) through the Theme Editor > Engine section or via Settings > Global Settings > Behavior.
• Notification Types: These can now be edited at both the global and app levels directly inside the Theme Editor.

• Auto-Hide Logic: New slider for auto-hide timeouts with precise snap points (1s to 1h).

• Settings Sync: Due to a rebuild of the background architecture, you may need to reconfigure your Engine Options (Native vs. Xiaomi) after updating.

Hi, I’ve tested the beta 01 on CN ROM (version 3.0.301).
I noticed that Hyper Island is not activated when using mobile data, but it works normally when connected to Wi-Fi.
Just wanted to report this issue. Let me know if you need any logs or further testing.

Thank you for the report. My App doesnt use internet connection so it sounds more like a system bug.

Could you try if having data on and VPN works?

I’ve tested using mobile data with VPN, but it still doesn’t work.
The issue only occurs on mobile data, while everything works fine on Wi-Fi.
Seems like it might be related to the CN ROM behavior.

Unfortunaly, Xiaomi limits the number of character than can be shown on the island.

If xiaomi makes improvements to allow more and bigger text i will implement it
