GFOpenBrowser Lite is a small web browser for AmigaOS 3.2: a GadTools window
that opens http:// and https:// pages and lays them out, in about 100 KB.
What it shows:
- headings, paragraphs, lists, quotes, preformatted text, rules
- links: click one to follow it, or pick it from Links...
- pictures, through the system's datatypes (PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP and
more, whichever datatypes are installed), scaled to their box - CSS: the page's <style>, style= and up to eight linked stylesheets;
element, class and ID selectors; colours, sizes, margins, padding,
alignment, display: none - Back, Reload, an address field, and ARexx: OPENURL on the
port AMICRADLE.BROWSER (GFOpenMail opens its links that way)
What it doesn't do: JavaScript, forms, frames, table grids, web fonts. For
those there is GFOpenBrowser on WebKit (much larger).
Requirements:
- AmigaOS 3.2 or newer
- a 68040 with FPU (hard float; not an LC or EC040)
- a TCP/IP stack (bsdsocket.library)
- for https://: GFOpenTLS (LIBS:gfopentls.library and gfopencrypto.library) and
its CA list, S:GFOpenTLS/ca-bundle.pem (GFOpenUp's GFOpenTLS part)
Its page engine, weblayout, is built on GFOpenLayout and kept behind one
header so that it can become a shared weblayout.library.
