An intersection is a connection between 3 or more roads. Each road lane has a Main Part property which determines if that lane should connect to the main intersection mesh or not, disable this for lanes that are part of a sidewalk for example.
If the connected road have the same amount of lanes on each side of the center with the Main Part property disabled then these can be automatically connected with the Automatically Generate Main Roads property in the Main Roads tab of the intersection inspector.
You can also manually add main roads to make it look like a road continues through the intersection
for a result like this:
When manually adding a main road you have to select which roads it should connect. This is done by the start and end index properties. Each road has an index in a clockwise order.
If you disable the whole start road of whole end road properties you can control which lanes of that roads that it
connects to.
0 is the left-most lane towards the intersection, 1 is the next etc.
If the start index is 0 and the end index is 0 then it will only connect to the first lane.
