What does this PR do

  • New fact to check if a remote update is happening: check if process datadog-installer is running with argument postStartExperimentBackground (as it's always running now)
    • During a remote update, do not restart/modify Agent package, only touch config files

Motivation

  • Same approach as with Linux: don't modify/touch Agent services/packages when an update is happening

Review

Base is #685, so only review commit range https://github.com/DataDog/ansible-datadog/pull/686/files/aefb2eab78b16262e6c482b8ca445d63a2f6f89f..6f908fd5e9af8e814f1cd2cf1285cadae0010d42

QA

  • Start with datadog_remote_updates and datadog_agent_version: 7.71.0
  • Do a remote update from the UI
  • Re-run the playbook after a few seconds (time for UI to send request to the installer) and ensure the playbook logs out the update is happening

  • Once the remote update is done, re-run after with same playbook and ensure we're downgrading to the version specified in the playbook
