WiX v3 is deprecated #27
Description
When visiting https://docs.firegiant.com/wix/wix3/ one is greeted with a huge banner stating:
Going out of service
All WiX v3 versions are out of community service as of February 6th, 2025. There will be no additional fixes, even for security issues for consumers of WiX v3.
Note: FireGiant support customers do receive bug and security fixes in WiX v3, as per their contract.
I have no idea what action is needed. Would upgrading to a newer WiX release be the easiest option? Or are there alternative ways to create a package? Maybe using some other tool installable with winget?
