Why Avalonia?

As much as I like Avalonia UI, WinUI looks much better on Windows, especially compared to the native Avalonia theme. I understand that you want to make it cross-platform while minimizing necessary changes, great, but why pick Avalonia over Uno?

We picked Avalonia because it fit our needs better at the time. Both Avalonia and Uno are cross-platform frameworks, but Avalonia's tooling, ecosystem, and development model aligned more closely with what we wanted for UnigetUI.

It also helps that most of our current and future products are built with Avalonia, so staying within the same ecosystem makes development and maintenance much simpler.

Yes, I've seen the feedback and I do take note of what people like and dislike. The Avalonia UI is still a work in progress, and I'm continuing to improve it based on the feedback.

That’s why users who prefer the previous interface can currently switch back to the classic UI through the settings in user interface preferences.
