Version 20

  • Settings backup: Settings › System › Export settings… saves everything in one file: tablets, pens, presets, applications, Touch Ring, calibration and app settings. The name is your tablet and the date (for example Intuos4PTK440_30Oct26), and you can change it. Serial numbers are left out, so you can email it to a friend or keep it for a new Mac.
  • Import settings… shows what will change before anything happens. Your current settings are backed up first.
  • Automatic backups: each new version backs up your settings the first time it starts. The last 5 are kept.
  • Diagnostic file: one click saves a zip on your Desktop to attach to a GitHub issue. Serial numbers and your user name are removed.
  • Driver check: Home warns you when the Wacom or Xencelabs driver, or a second OpenTabletDriver, is running.
  • Intuos4 status light: the light gets brighter when the pen touches the tablet, like with the Wacom driver. You can switch it off in Settings › System › Status light.
  • Settings files have their own icon in Finder. Double-click one to open the app and see what it would change before you import it.
  • App menu: the Tablet App for Mac menu at the top left now has About Tablet App for Mac, Export settings… and Import settings…. About Avalonia is gone.
  • Pen menu: the pen icon in the menu bar also has Export settings… and Import settings….
  • Ideas from MockTab by Cyzor (GPL-3). Thank you.
