Docxes

Software for managing school data like notes, grades, documents, homework etc.
This was a school project for module #226 at the GIB Muttenz (Switzerland).

Attention:

  • The user interface and the documentation are in German, even though the code is in English
  • The grade management is using the swiss grading system

Features

  • Manage notes, grades, documents, events like tests and homework, subjects and teachers for different schools
  • Calculate what you need to get in the next test(s) to reach a certain grade, calculate your average grade per subject/ school
  • Easy to use user interface, support for keyboard shortcuts
  • Well tested and stable

Installation

Requirements

  • Windows 7 or 8.x (32 and 64 bit)
  • .NET Framework 4.5 or better
  • SQL Server 2012 Express or better

Instructions

  1. Download the latest release
  2. Extract the contents of the downloaded folder to your desktop or wherever you want (no installation required)
  3. Run Docxes.exe

Contributing

This project is still maintained but will not be further developed.

To contribute, fork the repository and send me a pull request with your changes (develop branch).
Please take care to maintain the existing coding style.

Required Tools

  • Visual Studio 2012 or better
  • .NET Framework 4.5 or better
  • SQL Server 2012 Express or better

The documentation is available in the /docs folder.
