The Extended Boost Feature

stancecoke edited this page Apr 16, 2026 · 4 revisions

The Extended Boost feature lets the motor push the bike for a defined duration without pedals moving. This may be helpful for climbing a step or a rock without hitting the ground with the pedal. The Extended Boost is triggerd in the same way as the torque override feature by the torque override threshold. The maximum torque of the last pedal stroke is scaled to the max motor current for the active assist level. This value is multiplied by the Extended Boost strength percentage, that is defined for the active assist level in the full assist tab. The percentage can have a value from 0 to 255%. The basic duration of the Extended Boost can be set in the Controller tab. This basic duration is multiplied by the Extended Boost duration percentage for the active assist level from the full assist tab. The boost can be interrupted by pedaling backwards. If you don't want to use this feature, just set the basic duration to zero.
