Hi,
This is not an issue but don't know where to write that so...
I've actually made a fork of your project for my own tests and modified it to install on debian wheezy and few others modification like added choice for MariaDB install...
I'm really not a coder, so I'm also not so good with git and his subtilities, as with bash. (but I can say that I actually used it successfully on my Debian this way, you may find some info...)
I'm actually testing it on some chrooted Debian it seems to work...
I will test it on a "real" server soon...
If there is any problem regarding this use of your script just say me...
And Bravo!

You are free to fork or modify easyengine to suit your needs.

We already have Debian 6 and Debian 7 support in roadmap. If you would like to send a pull-request of your change, we will be happy to test it and merge it (if it works).

For MariaDB choice, we plan to add some flags to ee system install commands. If you wish to collaborate, we can discuss syntax and other implication of such changes and move ahead together.

As said before, forking is really fine with us but it might make it difficult for you to merge new features we will be adding here to easyengine. :-)

Update: we might do this ourself as http://www.dotdeb.org/ looks very promising.
