Hi my name is Iyanu and this is my technical writing portfolio :)
This portfolio is a collection of samples designed to demonstrate how I approach technical writing as a practice rooted in clarity, structure, and user empathy. Each piece focuses on a different core skill required of technical writers working with product, engineering, design, and marketing teams.
This portfolio highlights how I adapt my tone for different audiences, and choose formats that best support understanding.
- Product Documentation - Getting Started with Real-Time Collaboration in Notion: Comments, Mentions, and Shared Views
- UX Writing - Microcopy Samples: Error Messages for a Password Reset Flow
- Infographics: How Data Moves Through a Simple Web App
- Video Script & Demo: How GitHub Pull Requests Work (Explained for Non-Developers)
- Following a style guide: Explaining API Rate Limits Using an ATM Analogy
- Information Architecture: Site Map for a Mental Health Check-In App
- You can read the samples in any order.
- Each project includes brief context explaining the audience, goal, and design decisions.
- These samples are original and created specifically for portfolio demonstration purposes.
I bring several years of experience writing and editing SEO-driven content for digital products and services. I’m now applying that foundation to technical writing, with a focus on documentation that is useful, readable, and grounded in real user needs.
