Can't log in to Windsurf desktop app (Windows 11)

Windsurf version: 1.12.16
OS: Windows 11

Today, after launching the app, I was logged out, but when I tried to log in I got this error message:

Failed to log in: ConnectError: [permission_denied] api server wire error: free user account exceeded, please use an existing account or upgrade to a paid plan.

I've been on the Pro trial since 5 days and I still have 75 prompt credits left. It is the only Windsurf account I've ever created and used.

I tried to reinstall or log in with Token, but nothing helps.

Turns out ~1 year ago I created an account with another email to use Codeium. I wasn't aware of it being the same thing as Windsurf (yes, now I see the repository name). I've just deleted the account, reinstalled Windsurf, but I'm still having the same problem as described above.

After deleting the old account, clearing browser's cache and reinstalling Windsurf I still had this problem, but after updating to 1.12.18 it was gone. I was also told by the support that it might've been caused by logging into Windsurf on two different devices. Hope this helps anybody facing this issue!
