Installing Xeno is a bit more hardware-dependent than your average Minecraft mod. Because we are bypassing standard OpenGL, your graphics card and its drivers need to be fully up to date.

Minimum Requirements

Fabric Loader

Java 25

A dedicated or integrated GPU with Vulkan 1.2 support.

Step-by-Step Install Download the latest release of Xeno.

Drop the .jar file into your Minecraft mods folder.

Remove any incompatible rendering mods (see the Compatibility page).

Launch the game.

Updating Drivers This is not optional. OpenGL can often survive on drivers from three years ago, but Vulkan is much less forgiving.

NVIDIA: Use GeForce Experience or the NVIDIA App to get the latest Game Ready Driver.

AMD: Use Adrenalin to update to the latest recommended release.

Intel: Use the Intel Driver & Support Assistant. Do not rely on Windows Update for Intel graphics drivers, as it often installs severely outdated versions.

If your game crashes immediately on startup with a Vulkan initialization error, your drivers are likely the culprit.
