Custom gamemodes in barotrauma are quite limited in vanilla due to Loadouts being default barotrauma ones. If a spawnpoint could force override any classes loadout to a custom one. This would prove incredibly useful for mapmakers. It could also lead to creation of incredibly unique submarines with spawnpoints potentially having diving suits pre equipped or husk robes on every crewmember for a husk exclusive submarine.
It would also mean mods wouldnt need to be created to just have people have certain items or lack them on spawning in and vanilla gamemodes could become way more common than they are at current. It'd make vanilla able to do more without having to download a single mod.
Examples
A map with differing loadouts on each sides for PVP map where each job has the same gear to make it fair
A horror map where security dont start with stun batons and husks can spawn via the already existing ruin vents to force them to run.
A Map giving a certain class a unique "juggernaut" loadout to fight everyone else with. Everyone else having basic weapons to fight them.
