Is there a way to control the message produced when parsing invalid dates?

Back in Jackson 2 the jsr-310 module for time parsing would throw an exception with following message

period_start: Cannot deserialize value of type `java.time.LocalDateTime` from String "2020-02-02": Failed to deserialize java.time.LocalDateTime: (java.time.format.DateTimeParseException) Text '2020-02-02' could not be parsed at index 10

After upgrading it seems that the exception message now includes expected format of the expected format by the parser like so

period_start: Cannot deserialize value of type `java.time.LocalDateTime` from String "2020-02-02": Failed to deserialize `java.time.LocalDateTime` (with format 'Value(YearOfEra,4,19,EXCEEDS_PAD)'-'Value(MonthOfYear,2)'-'Value(DayOfMonth,2)'T'Value(HourOfDay,2)':'Value(MinuteOfHour,2)':'Value(SecondOfMinute,2)'.'Fraction(NanoOfSecond,3,3)'Z''): (java.time.format.DateTimeParseException) Text '2020-02-02' could not be parsed at index 10

Is there a feature to disable this?

Not currently. Could add a new DateTimeFeature to allow that if anyone has time & interest.

Related to this: I wonder if there was a way to include more compact format description.
