- Actor photos on the movie and show pages, next to each name in the cast; the initials while there is none.
- From the nfo when it can be reached (a web address, a file in the folder, Kodi's
.actors), otherwise from TMDB: the title's credits are asked once and kept, and the actors are found by TMDB id or by name (nfo files written by Jellyfin have no ids). - Photos are downloaded only when a page shows them, once, into Kinora's cache.

- An actor found by name also gets its TMDB id, so its page opens with biography and photo straight away.

Kinora 0.1.6
- Faster first Play. VLC's engine now starts in the background a couple of seconds after Kinora opens, and the Windows package carries VLC's module cache: without it VLC loaded all of its ~280 modules at every start (seconds on a cold disk).
- Started titles are marked. A movie you began in Kinora's player shows a ring on its poster instead of the check, as full as what you have seen; a started episode shows a bar under its picture. Once you are past 90% (or reach the end) it becomes "watched" and the mark goes.

Kinora 0.1.5
- Media keys for Kinora's player (Windows): play/pause, stop, and the forward and rewind buttons of remotes work even when Kinora is minimized or another window is in front, and so do the buttons of Bluetooth headphones.
- Windows' media panel (the one next to the volume) shows what Kinora is playing, with its title and poster.
- Windows sends the keys to the app that played last: while a video plays that is Kinora, not the music you paused for it.

Kinora 0.1.4
- Kinora's own player. Play now opens the video inside Kinora, over the whole window, with VLC's engine: hardware decoding, 4K and HDR included.
- Play/pause, back 10 s and forward 30 s, seek bar, volume and mute, full screen.
- The audio track and the subtitles from two menus: the tracks in the file and the
.srtfiles next to it. - Keys: Space play/pause, ← → seek, ↑ ↓ volume, M mute, F or double click full screen, A / S next audio track / subtitle, Esc back.
- It starts again where you stopped (past the first minute, with "Start over"), and marks the movie or episode watched at 90%.
- Settings → Playback: Kinora's player, or the app the system opens videos with.
- On Windows VLC's engine comes with Kinora (the setup grows by about 20 MB). On macOS and Linux Kinora uses the VLC installed on the computer; without it, Play opens the system's player.
- The licenses of LibVLCSharp and VLC (LGPL 2.1, GPL 2.0) are in
THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt.

Kinora 0.1.3
- Names ending with a dot or a space (like a show folder
S.W.A.T.) are now read, moved and given pictures, nfo and subtitles exactly as they are. Windows drops that final dot when it tidies a path, so such a show used to be read asS.W.A.T: with a folder of that name next to it, it was listed with the other folder's episodes, and without one its contents couldn't be read. - Nothing changes for other names: the library opens and scans as before, and no thumbnail is made again.

Kinora 0.1.2
- Delete a movie, a show or an episode from the disk: right click on a poster, the ••• menu of a page, the selection bar, or right click on an episode.
- First a question says what goes: the folder (or the files), how many and how big. Enter answers Cancel; only a click on Delete deletes. Files are deleted for good: network shares have no Recycle Bin.
- A title in its own folder goes with the folder, videos first (a video that is playing stops it before anything else goes). A loose movie or an episode goes with the small files named like its video, never with another video.
- Never a library folder, a folder with other titles or another library folder inside, or a folder that is a link. Videos the library doesn't count as part of the title are named in the question.
- The library changes only for what really went: if the NAS drops out nothing is removed from it, and after a partial delete the title is read again.
- Move and Delete say so when a scan is running, instead of doing nothing, and a scan can't start while they are asking.

Kinora 0.1.0
First release of Kinora, a desktop library for the movies and TV shows in your folders and on your NAS.
- Library: movie and TV folders, Kodi/Emby/Jellyfin
.nfofiles and pictures first; fast incremental scans over the network; works offline from its own database. - TMDB: fills what the folders don't say, identifies titles without ids, "Identify…" for the rest; optional writing of nfo and pictures into the folders.
- TV shows: seasons and episodes, watched per episode, play next, missing episodes listed.
- Subtitles from OpenSubtitles, by file hash first, saved next to the video.
- Move movies and shows between library folders (rename, or copy, check, then delete).
- Person pages, random pick, multiple selection, light and dark theme.
- Updates: checks GitHub once a day; on Windows it installs itself.
