aBookPlayer 1.11.2
New
- Install the Android app from the PC's code: the QR code in File → Share with your phone now also installs aBookPlayer on a phone that does not have it yet. Scan it with the phone's camera and tap Open aBookPlayer: with the app installed it opens connected to the PC, as before; without it, the app is downloaded from the PC (then open the downloaded file to install it). The page also has a Download the app link.
- The PC downloads the APK of its own version from GitHub in the background while sharing is on, so the phone always gets a matching app. Until it has it (for example with no internet), the page links to this release on GitHub.
- The browser may warn that the download is not secure (the PC's local address is plain HTTP): choose to keep it. The first time, Android asks to allow installing apps from the browser.
The Android app has no changes besides the version number.
